West Bridgfordians Cricket Club (WBCC), are looking to appoint a Manager / Head Coach to run and develop the girls and a future ladies team at the club. We already have a very strong and progressive girls section and we need to keep developing this, culminating in the setting up and running of a full ladies team during the course of the next 2 years. We already have the nucleus of a ‘young’ ladies team with some very gifted and talented girls ready to take the next step into ladies cricket. The club starts by introducing the new and younger girls to Kwik Cricket, prior to exposing them to hard ball league cricket when they are sufficiently skilled and old enough.

We are looking for somebody who is a ECB Level 2 coach or equivalent and they will be required to have an enhanced ECB DBS check (previously CRB) as well as a first aid certificate and safeguarding certificate.  We are happy to support and fund these requirements for the right person.

The ideal person will take responsibility for overseeing up to 3 ECB level 1 coaches who currently support and work in the girls section. WBCC will be running the following girls coaching sessions and matches in 2014;

Ø  Winter indoor nets at Trent Bridge ( Friday evenings, commencing end January 2014) – 10 sessions

Ø  Summer outdoor coaching sessions at Stamford Road, overseeing girls Kwik and hard ball cricket ( Friday evenings, commencing end April 2014) – 14 sessions

Ø  Girls Player Development Programme (PDP) ongoing and linked to boys PDP sessions

Ø  8 x girls U14 league matches which are played locally, mostly mid-week and in the evening

Ø  Aiming to play around 4 ladies ‘friendly’ matches in 2014 in preparation for a full 2015 ladies team launch.

If anybody is a current cricketer or even a ‘lapsed’ cricketer who may be interested in talking to somebody at West Bridgfordians Cricket Club about this senior role running the girls section, or even if it is just about playing future ladies cricket, please contact one of the following people at the cricket club;

Guy Dibley ( Chairman) on 07970 951952

Or

Cate Hayes ( Junior Co-Ordinator & Club Welfare Officer) on 07930 141319

Thank You.
